AGRICULTURAL BY - PRODUCTS
Industrial crops are plants cultivated for industrial processing or export, such as sugarcane, coffee, coconut, rubber, cashew, cocoa, tea, and so on.
Some typical by-products:
Coffee husks: Used to make organic fertilizer, biomass fuel, and raw materials for activated carbon production.
Coconut fiber and shells: Used to make coir mats, ropes, activated carbon, and handicrafts.
Sugarcane bagasse: Used for paper production, bio-pellets, and fuel.
Waste rubber latex: Recycled into industrial products such as shoe soles and mats.
Cashew shells: Extracted to produce cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL), used in the paint and chemical industries.
If properly processed, these by-products can become raw materials for organic fertilizers, biomass fuel, industrial materials, nutritional supplements, handicrafts, and even export products.
